An old rivalry continues in the name of football as Kenny Dalglish attempts to repair the damage against the somewhat shameful display last Sunday against West Ham United.  As this game always promises to be a great show of strength in football for the two big sides in the northwest.

Dalglish will be without Martin Kelly for a month due to a hamstring injury and he will also be without Raul Mireles who also fell prey to injury in last Sunday’s game.  Positive news comes from striker Andy Carroll who looks likely to figure in the game on March 6 as Liverpool’s record signing continues to step up his return to action at the Melwood training ground.  Dalglish will also be hoping for more positive news on Fabio Aurelio and Daniel Agger – both are fitness doubts ahead of the game with United.

The Liverpool Manager knows how important this game is to the Liverpool squad after the dismal display last Sunday.  Given the knowledge that this game could seriously dent United’s challenge for the title and overtaking Liverpool’s record of eighteen top-flight title wins.  This third meeting against Manchester United this season could prove to be a great way to bounce back into form and stay in the hunt for that important European place for next season.

Meanwhile United look to Anfield in the hope of repeating their rout of Wigan Athletic as tonight they entertain Chelsea who also need a win to get that important place in the top four to gain a Champions league place for next season.

Manchester United continue to be without defender Rio Ferdinand who is out with a calf strain and Valencia who is also out with a foot injury. But look set to field a full strength squad in what promises to be one of the pivotal premier league games of the season.

Anfield is always a great place to be during this game of heated rivalry as United continue to prove to be the best footballing side of the modern era.  The atmosphere of this game in the ground always proves to be one to remember.  But this is not the only reason you should come to Liverpool for a great afternoon of sport.  A stay at one of our two or three star hotels for you and your friends with Urban Chic will prove that you made the right choice to come to Liverpool for a great weekend out to enjoy the city.  So come stay with us at Urban Chic!  It is a decision you will not regret!
