If you’re looking for somewhere handy and central for a business meeting or function during your stay, you can hire one of 30-odd different-sized meeting rooms with stunning views of the waterfront at the BT Convention Centre or the Racquets Club on Chapel Street has both a top class restaurant and a series of smaller dining rooms for private meetings and functions. The Athenaeum on Church Alley, one of Liverpool’s oldest private clubs and former haunt of William Roscoe and Washington Irving – amongst others – also has private meeting rooms available for hire, and is well worth a visit for its striking spiral staircase and luxurious library and newsroom.

Unique and quirky places for a meeting

While the convention centre has a range of different-sized rooms on offer, you might also want to try the new Novotel on Hanover Street, which has a range of different-sized meeting rooms for hire, as does the trendy Studio 2 bar on Parr Street, which has converted its former recording studios into a network of quirky meeting/ function rooms for hire. Its upstairs sister bar, 3345, also has a large boardroom which can be hired separately. If you’re looking for something a little more unusual, both the Palm House in Sefton Park, and Isla Gladstone Conservatory in Stanley Park are available for hire for business meetings and events, both offering beautifully-refurbished Victorian glasshouses as the backdrop for a memorable event.
