This year’s Campaign for real ale (CAMRA) pub of the year, the Dispensary deservedly has earned this accolade.

Slap in the centre of town.  The Dispensary has to be one of the best known Cain’s brewery pubs in the city.   Seating in this pub is limited but it has a welcoming atmosphere and definitely a place for intimate conversion – especially during winter when sitting by the alluring Victorian coal fire or when watching the Sky sports entertainment.

What makes the dispensary unique is the range of social entertainment on offer.  During the month, folk nights and poetry nights are available – making sure the diversity of people inhabiting this pub has a lively busy mix.

Run by a husband and wife team.  The range of real ales and spirits is sublime as they constantly update their whiskeys and real ale.  No wonder this is a great place to visit on a night out.
