Away from the throbbing heart of the city, the Pig and Whistle resides in the peaceful business quarter of town.

Although the building itself may appear rather lonely on the backdrop its car park.  The atmosphere within this two floored pub proves to be a warm and friendly place.  Formerly known as the Midland pub, this is a favoured haunt among journalists and city professionals.

The Pig and Whistle is a wonderful place to chill out for a chat with its regulars. Restoration of this pub in 2006 saw it return to its former glory.  Marvellously decorated, the furnishings are inviting to the eye, giving a rather cosy look to this pub.

Although during certain times of the day it can be quite busy with people – such is its reputation.  The food served here is always excellent.  Its fine selection of 12 real ales has a reputation beyond the city’s reach.
