As alternative pub experiences go, this is probably the finest in Liverpool.

Being right on the tourist trap, not visiting a pub like this requires the hardiest of dedication.  It really is a must see place!

Since its revamp 10 years ago, this pub has gone from strength to strength.  As for the entertainment, this venue easily vanquishes its old reputation for heavy metal, Punk and rock music.  The Swan always offers and eclectic variety of alternative music for those looking for something different.

Throughout this pubs history, it is known for serving an excellent choice of real ale, ciders, lager’s and spirits.  Being adventurous with this range requires care – especially with the cider’s, as they tend to creep up on your palette quite easily – leaving you rather heady.  But if the beer here is getting a bit much, the Swan’s famous array of sandwiches and pies are fantastic.

However, this fun place has friendly locals from all ages and the bar staff are so warm and helpful that in truth, it would be a crime not to come along to the Swan Inn for a visit.
